Thank you for your interest in Wheelers Van Rentals of Hawaii. Because our fleet is so small we rent by the CALENDAR day and not 24 hour clock. Reservations are on a 1st come 1st served basis which means regardless of the time of your arrival your rental will begin on that particular calendar day and end on the date of departure.

Prices subject to change without notice.

Upon receipt of your reservation form we will contact you with a reservation confirmation # and provide you with landing instructions on how to pick up your van at the airport via our local agents. 20 days prior to your van pick up date we will contact you again to reconfirm your flights and process payment.

Please remember to bring your handicapped parking placard with you as we do not provide them.

We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to serving you soon!

What are your wheelchair accessible van rental rates?
Our rates vary by the length of your van rental and island. Daily rates start at $149 per calendar day. We provide additional rate reductions the longer you rent the van (e.g. weekly, monthly discounts).

Where are your rental locations?
We have vehicles on Kauai, Oahu, Maui, and the island of Hawaii (Kona Only).

Do you deliver wheelchair accessible vans?
Yes, all of our locations feature agent airport/hotel/cruise terminal delivery/return service ($100 each way/ Fee may vary depending on hotel location). On Oahu, you may pick up/return the van yourself at our location in Honolulu to avoid the delivery/return fees.  All other locations require mandatory agent delivery/return.

What type of wheelchair accessible vehicles are available?
We feature late model Dodge and Toyota minivans with side loading manually operated ramps. This is done in order to offer the best experience to our customers with trouble free Ramp operation and little/no maintenance issues.

Can you provide a driver for van rentals?
Independent drivers are available who are licensed tour guides. Please inquire for their contact information. We do not offer drivers as all of our vans are rented on a U-Drive basis.

Can insurance pay the cost of renting an wheelchair accessible vehicle?
Yes, sometimes insurance companies do cover the costs. Please call for details.

Does Wheelers of Hawaii provide liability and collision coverage?
Our insurance policy generally provides secondary coverage. If the vehicle is in an accident, the renter is primarily responsible for liability and repair. Please check with your personal automobile insurance provider as many companies now cover rental vehicles at no extra cost. Travel insurance resources include Travel Guard and Universal Travel.  We offer Collision Damage Waivers with a $1000 USD deductible for $24.95/day + tax. We also offer  Liability Waivers  at the cost of $16.95/day + tax with a $1500 USD deductible.

What forms of payment do you take?
We accept VISA, MC, Discover, AMEX and rentals prepaid via check with a credit card deposit authorization.

Does it cost anything to reserve a van?
No, you only need to fill out our reservation form and return it to us. 20 days prior to your Van pick up date we will process payment in full so please be sure to notify us of any changes to your reservations prior to that time.  Once payment is received the rental becomes non-refundable.

COVID Exception: In the event a member of your traveling party exhibits a positive COVID test 72 hours prior to flying and you end up cancelling your trip, please email us a copy of your positive COVID test for a full refund.

Do you provide Handicapped Parking Placards for use while renting?
